Common Questions

See some common questions and answers below, or call us at 07757869783

  • When can I call you?

You can call us anytime. If we don't answer, it probably means we're on a roof. Please leave a message and we'll call you back right back.

  • Where do you work?

We are based in Braintree, Essex but we cover all of Essex, Suffolk, Hertfordshire and most parts of London.

  • How do I request a quote?

We usually need to arrange a free visit  before we give you a quote. This is because many factors can affect how long your work will take to complete. Please call us or message us with you details and we'll get back to you to arrange a suitable time.

  • How much will my roof cost?

We really can't say without a visit. If we can complete the work there and then, it will be cheaper. If we can't, and we need to return or require scaffolding, we will send you a full free quote by email.

  • Will I need a new roof?

Most slate or clay tiled roofs last anything from 50 - 100 years and concretes around 40 years.  However, if you are finding more and more leaks, along with slipped tiles and cracked ridge, it may be time to consider a new roof. Don't worry if you're unsure. We can advise you during your free visit and supply written quotes for all your options.

  • Do you guarantee your work?

We guarentee all our newly installed roofs for 25 years. If we are carrying out a repair, we will guarentee our work and we will return if you find another leak for free, but due to the nature of repairs, we can't guarentee your full roof.

  • Will I need scaffolding?

This really depends on the nature of the work and the environment. The safety of our workers and our customers is highly important to us and if we feel there is any risk of danger either, and a ladder is not enough to guarantee safety, then scaffolding may be advised in line with health and safety requirments. For example, if a ladder cannot be safely grounded because of an uneven surface or obstruction (like a conservatory or extension), then scaffolding will be needed. We also usually require scaffolding for larger jobs because this will increase productivity and reduce the overall cost of your roofing work.

  • Can I pay by credit card?

Yes, we now accept payment by Paypal, so you can afford your new roof quicker than you thought. *2.90% fee applies when paying by paypal or you can pay by bank transfer for  free.
